Note: this section of the tutorial shows an easy way to bring the EZRound slices into NetObjects Fusion and force NOF to manage them as assets. By adding the slices in this method, NOF will upload the slices to the website for you.
NOTE: These steps to Import the EZRound image slices and mark them as “Always Publish” in NOF are required. DO NOT SKIP THESE STEPS. Even if you are using the new “Universal NOF Import Tutorial” you still need these steps for the “Centered” page effect to work (since the HTML that links these images is external to NOF).
Importing the slices
To import the image slices, follow these steps:
Create a new web page in the site view.
Don’t worry about what name NOF assigns to the new page. We will be deleting it as soon as we are done with it.
Double-click the new page to change to the Page Design view.
If you are loading the image slices from the EZRound export folder, click back to the Windows Explorer window. If you are loading them from your NOF assets/images folder - open Windows Explorer and navigate to that folder.
Note: it is OK to close EZRound at this time - just be sure to save your design.
Then select the 9 image slices that were placed there by the EZRound export.
Use your mouse to drag the image slices from the Windows Explorer screen and drop them onto the layout region of the newly created page.
The images will stack up in a nice little pile on the layout region of the temporary page. Just leave them there for now. Remember that we will be deleting this page as soon as we are done with it.
Now we need to switch to the ASSETS view in NetObjects Fusion. In this view you should see the nine image slices from your EZRound design among the list of files.
Next we need to double-click the first file asset and check the Always Publish box. Repeat this process for all nine images.
NOTE: This is an important step! If you do not check this box for each of the nine images, then NOF will publish the four corner images in a different folder and the HTML links generated by EZRound will not work.
Cleaning up after the import
After you have checked the Always Publish box for each of the nine images in the NOF Asset view - you can go back to the site view and delete the temporary page as it is no longer needed.
